Don’t put off any more travel to world famous Boracay.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat said Boracay Island is open to “travelers of all ages” amid government plans to further travel restrictions. She shared on Instagram that the COVID-19 testing for Boracay travelers who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required soon.

The tourism chief made the announcement coupled with a photo of her recent visit to popular tourist destination.

“Look at the beautiful sky, the pristine beach☀️All that is missing is you💜,” she said on Instagram.

“Boracay is nearly 100% vaccinated (yes, the entire population) and welcomes travelers of all ages. Soon, testing will no longer be required for fully vaxxed tourists entering the island,” she said.

She also gave an update on the vaccination drive for tourism workers in Boracay as part of keeping the island “safe and more sustainable.”

“This picture was taken last July when Sec Dizon and I started vaccinating tourism workers in the island and now it’s bearing fruit. We shall continue to make Boracay safe and more sustainable. Come see for yourself!” she captioned her Boracay photo.
