Secretary Vince Dizon has resigned as president of the Bases and Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), MalacaƱang confirmed Tuesday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, however, said Dizon will still serve as the country’s Covid-19 testing czar and deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force Against Covid-19.
“We wish to inform that BCDA president and CEO and presidential adviser on flagship programs and projects Mr. Vivencio Dizon tendered his resignation effective October 15, 2021,” Roque said during his virtual presser.
“Secretary Vince has asked the president to unload him of his task so he can focus full time on the national government’s COVID response efforts and vaccination rollout.
“Mananatili po sa gobyerno bilang presidential adviser for Covid-19 response si Secretary Vince Dizon. Patuloy rin niya gagampanan ang kanyang tungkulin bilang deputy chief implementer ng National Task Force Against Covid-19 at vaccine czar,” he added.
