Senators Panfilo Lacson and Vicente Sotto III will file their certificates of candidacy (COC) for president, and vice president, respectively on October 6.
Politiko learned that Lacson and Sotto will go together from the Senate building in Pasay City to the Sofitel Garden Tent a few kilometers away, which is the designated location of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for filing COCs.
They will be joined by some politikos in their senatorial slate, though the final list is unknown.
Lacson and Sotto will be running with the formidable machineries of the National Unity Party (NUP), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) and the budding Partido Reporma behind them.
The two senators, who have a combined 80 years in public service, are running with the tagline, “Kakayahan, Katapatan, at Katapangan.”
