There won’t likely be a much-awaited reunion of the Filipino band Eraserheads.
Former band frontman Ely Buendia has doused speculation about an imminent band reunion concert after Vice President Leni Robredo decided to run for president in the 2022 elections.
Buendia earlier tweeted “pag tumakbo si Leni” when netizens asked him about a possible Eraserheads reunion. Robredo eventually announced her independent bid for the presidency last Thursday, changing her campaign color from yellow to pink. Netizens have been asking Buendia if he will keep his word about the band reunion.
But it appears that Buendia is just kidding about the band reunion. He is serious though about supporting Robredo’s presidential run.
“I may joke about frivolous things like an old band getting back together, but I’m dead serious about our people’s future. #LetLeniLead,” he tweeted.
