Former President and Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for congressman of Pampanga’s second district.
Arroyo’s COC was filed on October 1 by her abogado at the Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor in San Fernando. She will be running under Lakas-CMD.
The former President seeks to succeed her son, incumbent Pampanga Rep. Mikey Arroyo.
With Arroyo set for a comeback at the House of Representatives, there’s been talk that she might vie again for the speakership under the next administration.
