The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved the recommendation to vaccinate children from 12 to 17 years of age, Malacañang announced Monday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the pilot rollout of the vaccination of children will begin on October 15 “under a phased approach.”
“Inaprubahan din ng inyong IATF ang pilot rollout ng pagbabakuna ng mga bata na may edad 12 hanggang 17 ng mga bakunang nabigyan ng emergency use authorization ng Food and Drug Administration,” Roque said during his virtual presser.
“Magsisimula po ito sa October 15 under phased approach,” he added.
The secretary said the country will also open the government’s vaccination drive to the general adult population.
